The law defines a utility model as any new technical solution which relates to the shape or the structure of a product, or to the combination of the shape and structure of a product.
Utility model requires absolute novelty. A utility model suffices inventiveness with substantive features and represents progress, which is less strict than in the case of an invention patent. A utility model is applicable in practice if it can be made and used and can produce effective results.
